Be Colorful
The concept:
"Be Colorful" was built around self-expression — a natural fit for a brand that called itself colorful but hadn't fully lived up to it. Eight catalog sections, each representing a different customer, each with its own color and its own "Be" statement.
The system:
Those 8 colors became the only colors used across all marketing for the entire season. Every hero spread paired three costume angles on the left with a full-page candid of the model on the right — performance balanced with personality. The costume shots were tone-on-tone against their section's signature color, with a complementary color from the 8 chosen for the candid side. Switching background paper throughout the shoot required careful planning and coordination. The catalog spine was designed to show all 8 colors when stacked, a detail planned from the start that became one of the season's most recognizable moments at the tradeshow.
